About me
Sarah Powazek is the Program Director of Public Interest Cybersecurity at the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity (CLTC), where she leads flagship policy and research work to help under-resourced public interest organizations improve their defenses. Sarah co-leads the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics, a first-of-its-kind collaboration of higher-ed institutions running free cyber clinic programs, and supports Berkeley's Citizen Clinic.
Sarah is an active member of the hacker community, and an organizer for Hackers On The Hill and DEF CON Policy. She previously conducted maturity assessments and tabletop exercises at CrowdStrike Strategic Advisory Services, and served as the Program Manager of the Ransomware Task Force at IST.
